Student Leadership

At St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy we are very proud of our Student leadership body the 1719 Society.

They follow on in the footsteps of our Founder St Jean Baptiste de la Salle.

The group was named ‘1719’ as it was in this year that the death of our founder St Jean Baptist De La Salle occured and when the leadership passed to the Brothers. As well as being on hand ready to help at events at school and outside of school, 1719 Society work with pupils, teachers and the whole school community to help make our school the best Lasallian community it can be.
