St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy GCSE’s beat the regional average for the second year

Students at St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy celebrated today as they all received their GCSE results.

Beating both the regional and local average again, many left the school hall with bright futures ahead and excellent results to be proud of.

Principal Dominic McKenna said: “Our students deserve great credit for their hard work and commitment. We’re very proud of them and pleased to see so many get the excellent results they deserved.”

Some results of note belong to: Fiker Gebre who achieved nine grade 9s and two grade 8s; Talya Alkaheel received six grade 9s, four grade 8s and one grade 7; Hasset Kifle – five grade 9s, two grade 8s and three grade 7s; Lizzie Lees who achieved four grade 9s, two grade 8s, 2 grade 7s and a six; Oluwamayowa Dasilva achieved two grade 9s, four grade 8s, five grade 6s and 7s: and Annabel Lawton for achieving one grade 9, four grade 8s and five grade 6s and 7s.

Mr McKenna added: “Lots of students have enrolled into our newly refurbished Sixth Form and we look forward to welcoming them on the 3rd September.
