VNATION at the First Tech UK Challenge National Championships

Our students have been amazing at the First Tech UK Challenge National Championships.

Talya took to the stage to loud applause when she was announced as a FIRST Leadership Award Finalist – one of four students selected by FIRST UK to be considered for the global FIRST Leadership Award!

VNATION were so excited to reach a second round of interviews for one of the awards, but despite pulling some incredible answers out of the bag, they sadly weren’t able to bring the award home this time! However they made lots of connections and are ready and raring to go next time!

At the start of the first day they were hit with the mishap of needing to adjust the width of a component, which meant adjusting the whole robot, which knocked everything out of alignment. The robot that was working to an exceptional standard on Monday night didn’t start working properly again until Wednesday afternoon, which affected their outcomes.

We are so proud of them for their resilience. They also gave the best presentation  we’ve ever seen them do to the judges – they were amazing!
