Careers Employer Encounter Event

Our Y8 Careers employer encounter morning was a great success! Y8 were invited to join in a special “Step into the NHS” day, where they were joined by some special guests who work locally in NHS roles. Our visitors ranged from Radiographers to Physiotherapists, from Psychologists to Nurses and Paramedics and they thoroughly enjoyed sharing information about their job roles and the skills and qualifications needed with our Y8s. Well done Y8 – your contribution to the NHS careers event was fantastic – it was great to see so many of you asking such interesting questions.

Y8 will now be entering a national competition called “Step into the NHS”, where they will create a job advert for a specific NHS role.

Please bring entries to Mrs Page before Friday 11th April and we will enter them for you.

Special thanks to our NHS guests: Dan Smith, Millie Wright, Martyn Wilshaw, Jodie Wild & Julie Westrupp and it was particularly lovely to see that most of our guests were St Margaret Ward alumni too – now inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals!
