Good luck Talya!

Year 12 student Talya is one of four students from the UK to be selected as a FIRST Leadership Award Finalist.

This award is given by the global youth robotics charity FIRST, and recognises students from 52 countries across the world who show commitment to leadership and learning in STEM. Her nomination from the UK is now considered at world level, and ten winners from across the world will be announced at today’s awards ceremony in Austin, Texas.

Talya (front & centre of the photo) is the leader of our nationally successful senior robotics team VNATION, who were West Midlands winners this year and UK Design Award winners previously.

We wish Talya the best of luck when the winners of this global award are announced, and no matter what, we are very proud to have her as a St Margaret Ward student!
