How we are tackling ASB this autumn

Halloween and Bonfire Night are cause for celebration with many community events being hosted throughout the area. Unfortunately, however this can also be seen by some as an opportunity for antisocial behaviour, which is unacceptable.

Staffordshire Police have a dedicated operation aimed at tackling the issues that arise this time of year. Local Policing Teams will be working alongside our partners throughout this period to ensure that people can feel safe out in public and in their homes and that Halloween and Bonfire Night are enjoyable and peaceful occasions for all. Officers will be out and highly visible across the area engaging with people and providing reassurance to local communities. We want to reinforce the message that there is no excuse for nuisance and anti-social behaviour. Anyone intending to cause trouble for the decent majority will be pursued.

A dedicated phone line has been set up with Stoke-on-Trent City Council so that the local community can report any concerns regarding ASB related to Halloween and fireworks.
