Remembrance Day 2022

St Margaret Ward marked Remembrance Day this year by gathering together, virtually, as a whole school community. We had a special presentation from Mr Proctor in the History department who explained the history behind and importance of Remembrance.

The whole school observed the traditional two minutes’ silence impeccably with the Last Post being sounded by Miss Hayes. We then prayed for all fallen soldiers and victims of war across our world. If you would like to join your prayers with ours, you might like to say the Eternal Rest prayer:

Eternal rest, grant unto them O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace. Amen.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Remembrance Day service respectful and reverent.

We will remember them.
