Results are high for St Margaret Ward’s GCSE students

Students at celebrated their GCSE results today. Year 11 students have achieved high results with a solid showing of grades that reward all their hard work.

St Margaret Ward students have achieved some impressive GCSE results with many choosing the Trinity Sixth Form at the school as their further education option.

Principal, Dominic McKenna, said: “We are all enormously proud of our GCSE students. We offer a broad and enriching curriculum, and the combination of the hard work of the pupils and high quality teaching has made a good combination during this year’s GCSEs.

With students excelling in subjects across the curriculum, there were lots of happy faces.

Assistant Principal, Rebecca Munden, commented: “We’re pleased to see so many happy students, their hard work has paid off and we’re looking forward to seeing what they do next.”

Hamaayil was thrilled with her results and will join the sixth form in September to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Celebrating her results, she said: “I can’t believe it, I’m so excited. I can’t wait til September now!”

With cheers all round, Year 11 student, Alan, was ecstatic to find out that he’d done so well in his Maths exam. While Kurtis is excited to be going on to study Maths, Physics and Product Science.

Amy was nervous about getting her results today but was delighted with the results that she had achieved. She’s now off to Newcastle College to study English Literature, English Language and History.

Speaking about the exams, she said: “It’s amazing! I’m so happy, I can’t believe it!”

Students Moira and Mikael were also pleased with their results, with Mikael planning to join the school’s sixth form to study Maths, Geography and Physics.
