World Book Day 2026

Our very own 1719 Society took over the planning, organisation and executing of all of our World Book Day events for this year, and what a fantastic job they did!

The day began with our annual Masked Reader competition where Fidei groups worked hard to guess which members of staff were reading in disguise.  The winning Fidei will be announced soon!

At lunchtime the canteen was busy with book gifting.  Many of our students chose from a wide selection of books and are looking forward to settling down to read a new book this evening.

The library was a haven of quiet concentration as some of our 1719 Society taught Year 7 students the art or origami.  The students picked up the skills very quickly and made some excellent creations.
