Our Autumn newsletter is now published! Take a look to see what our students have been getting up to this term. 

The Cross-Culture Link Program began on the 13th December with an Advent Mass where students from SMW joined with students from DLSZ via a live link to share in the Mass together.

Our last live Christmas Concert was in 2019 and, after what feels like a lifetime, we finally had a live Christmas Concert on Tuesday 13th December.

BBC stars and staff are set to visit half a million students as part of BBC 100 years celebrations. 

On Monday 5th December 2022 36 courageous students left for a week of winter mountaineering at the Outward Bound centre at Loch Eil near Fort William, Scotland.

11 students from Years 7-12 submitted a poem each that they wrote specifically for the Young Writer's Power of Poetry competition - all 11 have been selected to be printed in The Power of Poetry book, launching in February!

As part of our Careers provision, we invited all 210 Y11 students to attend their first professional mock interview with a visiting guest from the community.

Our performances of 'The Grinch' have been enjoyed by all the Yr 3 children from our collegiate primary schools that have attended...

On Thursday 20th October we welcomed over 40 companies, colleges, universities and apprenticeship providers to St Margaret Ward to present their courses as part of our annual Careers Fair.

Wednesday 12th October saw our first Careers employer encounter day of the academic year, Y11 had the opportunity to spend the day in workshops and industry talks with employers.

On Tuesday 18th October we had the honour of taking 13 students to Keele University to receive copies of the novels that they wrote in the Summer.

On Tuesday 18 October, ​Year 10 and 11 Food studies students visited Reaseheath College's Food department to gain an insight into Industrial practice and experience of real-world scenarios.
