The Drama department has teamed up with our Art department to ask students to create an image that will be used on posters to promote the performance, alongside being used on the performances programme.

On Wednesday 11 January a small group of Year 7 students joined forces with lots of other students from our Collegiate at Young Voices 2023 in Birmingham. It was an amazing experience to sing with over 6,000 others and perform at a full Resorts World Arena.

Year 10 took competed against each other in in the SMW inter-form STEM Olympics on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th January. They had the opportunity to chat with some people with very exciting STEM related jobs ....

The Cross-Culture Link Program began on the 13th December with an Advent Mass where students from SMW joined with students from DLSZ via a live link to share in the Mass together.

Our last live Christmas Concert was in 2019 and, after what feels like a lifetime, we finally had a live Christmas Concert on Tuesday 13th December.

BBC stars and staff are set to visit half a million students as part of BBC 100 years celebrations. 

On Monday 5th December 2022 36 courageous students left for a week of winter mountaineering at the Outward Bound centre at Loch Eil near Fort William, Scotland.

11 students from Years 7-12 submitted a poem each that they wrote specifically for the Young Writer's Power of Poetry competition - all 11 have been selected to be printed in The Power of Poetry book, launching in February!

As part of our Careers provision, we invited all 210 Y11 students to attend their first professional mock interview with a visiting guest from the community.
